PLP in the Community

Pacific Laboratory Products is a community conscious company. We have an active Work Place Giving Program whereby all staff can contribute to a company sponsored charity, or one of their choice.

The MAD (Make A Difference) Team, who are volunteers within PLP, identify which charities will be supported. Every dollar raised, whether through individual contribution or fundraising events, is matched by the company. In fact the company has raised over $8,000 from the Work Place Giving Program and this money has been distributed to the following areas:

• Croydon Special School
  - Gas Barbeque with sausage sizzle lunches throughout the year.
• East Timor
  - Engaging Youth Program. Monthly donation via AusAid.
• Nicaraguan Child
  - Monthly donation to support Carla Fernandez Gonzalez and her family.
• Tibetan Children’s Fund
  - Our most recent support was to the Tibetan people, where our funds assisted to
  feed and educate their children to develop self sufficiency for future years.

Volunteering Program

PLP gives every employee the opportunity to use two working days to volunteer in a community program of their choice. So far people have used this time to be involved with voluntary fire fighting, animal rescue and helping people in the community who are less fortunate than ourselves. A number of the Melbourne staff volunteer at the Sacred Heart Mission, preparing lunch, serving the meals and then assisting in the kitchen clean up.
